Meet Alan Lo. One half of a powerhouse restaurateur couple, Alan lives in Hong Kong with his wife Yenn and their two boys, Gregory and Gabriel. Alan is passionate about promoting art, design, and creativity in Hong Kong, serving on a number of boards and committees locally and internationally, including Design Trust which is his charity of choice for Charity Closet.

I have two daughters who both love collecting things so I seem to always have at least one leaf being 'kept safely" in my handbag at any time. I try to avoid the temptation to sneak them in the bin whilst they are not looking (we've all been there, right?) and instead see them as environmentally-friendly, free, arts and crafts materials!

15 years ago I was a children’s party planner in London. I loved coming up with creative ways to make the children’s fantasy themes come to life, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was my absolute favourite. But one thing that always struck me was the bags and bags of waste at the end of children’s parties. Almost everything was disposable.

We interviewed Amanda about buying clothes for her girls, and why she has chosen The Children's Cancer Foundation charity to receive the proceeds for her charity closet.
