Do you have favourite brands for your children’s clothes?
I love Bonpoint for something fancy and more delicate. I also like Children of the Tribe, For Love and Lemons, Mini Marley Kids, Foque Kids. Velveteen is also a favourite. There are so many cute brands out there waiting to be discovered! I love mixing and matching the kids’ outfits and experimenting with different styles from different brands. I think this is such a fun process, and often yield surprising results!
How do you feel about second-hand clothing for yourself or your children?
I think it’s brilliant!!! Kaia’s clothes are mostly hand me downs. My friends and I will take turns passing along outgrown clothes to each other for our babies. I hate seeing a perfect piece of clothing go to waste.
Kaia wears Janie & Jack top and bloomer set, and Toms shoes.
You love exploring the world. Can you share with us some of your favourite travel destinations as a family with young toddlers?
London and the English countryside are great for kids in the summer, there’s so much nature and learning on offer. Phuket is also a great choice for a family beach holiday. It’s close by, easy to travel around in, and of course, service is impeccable in Thailand! I loved Maldives with kids too if you don’t mind travelling a little further.

You have a natural affinity with the sea we understand. How do you teach your children about taking care of the ocean and the earth?
This is something close to my heart. People nowadays need a lot to be happy and content. I used to be like that I feel, and that’s why I take my kids out so much to spend time in nature whenever we have free time (rather than playing in another indoor air conditioned playroom). Hiking a mountain, challenging yourself with a bit of adventure, brings so much fulfilment and happiness.
I want my kids to love nature, to explore, to protect it, be curious and most importantly be able to find happiness in simple pleasures like that! Protecting and taking care of the earth will come naturally if we open their eyes to what mother nature brings us.
What are your favourite ways to spend time as a family in Hong Kong?
Hiking, outdoor play, time at the beach, boating or simply laying in bed for cuddles.

Tell us more about your chosen charity, Mother’s Choice and why it is important to you.
I have always supported Mothers Choice since my high school days. I think they do valuable work in supporting very young single moms or abandoned moms rebuild and find their way as a new mother. Taking care of newborns and babies requires a lot of support and resources. I used to volunteer there when I was young too!
